Walkin' in a Winter Wonderland...

This is part 2 to our 'portraits in the snow' series. I was so excited to try out these ideas. It is so funny how great you think an experience is going to be, but when you photograph your own kids things don't always go as planned. When you combine the middle of the day with cold weather & small children it becomes a little chaotic. Regardless of the craziness we really got some great portraits. I'm so glad we went!! Which one is your favorite?

Let it snow

We got lots more winter weather around here & I thought I would make the most of it this time. I took my kiddos out for a few minutes to capture some portraits in the snow. This is hopefully just part 1 to a 2 part series. The kids did great & we got some beautiful portraits, but I didn't get to the location I had in mind. I have some fun ideas & I can't wait to try them out. Stay tuned :)

Christmas 2009

Jimmy

Jimmy is a senior at Coweta High School this year. I know he wasn't too excited about taking his portraits (he only did it because he was being a good son for mom), but they turned out great! I really enjoyed meeting Jimmy & his mom & dad & I had lots of fun trying out new spots with him. Isn't that old tractor a cool prop?! I can't wait to show you all the rest!

Lindsey: part 2

I did 2 different sessions with Lindsey & this was her downtown session. I just love her... she is so much fun!!! We really had a great time during her session & her portraits turned out awesome! I had such a hard time choosing which ones to post. Wow! Isn't she beautiful?!! I also really enjoyed experimenting with her on the night shots at the railroad tracks. This was the first time I tried photographing at night with a train behind someone (I definitely didn't plan this), but it was a great experience. Which one is your favorite?

Lizzie

Lizzie is a senior at Coweta High School this year. For those of you who don't know, she is the winner of the Coweta Miss Fall Festival pageant this year & I really believe those judges chose well. What a great girl & so easy to photograph!! I do have to say that her session was probably the craziest/scariest session I have ever done. Downtown Tulsa & 3 girls isn't really a good mix on Friday the 13th!! We made it with some beautiful portraits, but ask Lizzie about some crazy bum stories!! LOL! Thanks for a great session, Lizzie! :)

Lindsey

What a cutie!! Lindsey is a senior at Coweta High School this year & she was adorable! She had lots of fun ideas for her portraits & tons of great outfits... especially her shoes! I had so much fun photographing her & her friends were such good sports. Check out the pic with them cheering her on in the background. Great job guys!!
