Luciana

It is crazy how time flies! I have known this girl's family for several years and it is hard to believe that she is old enough to be a senior! It seems like just yesterday that we were driving her to and from church events and now she's going to graduate in just a few months!! So hard to believe!

I had a great time photographing Luciana, although it was very challenging! The wind was crazy that day, making it incredibly hard to keep her long hair looking beautiful, but we made it through and got lots of great portraits. If you want a good laugh, just ask her to share a story or two from our session... good times!  :) Congratulations on your senior year Luciana!  I'm so glad I had the chance to photograph your senior portraits!

Bekah: Senior Portraits At The Fair!

Wow! What a crazy session! I am so happy with the results, but this session was probably one of the hardest sessions I have ever done. With the huge crowds, all the noise from the rides & the hike from the car we had lots to overcome! We even had our own sign language down by the time all this was over!

Let me just say that Bekah was awesome! This girl doesn't let anything bother her & she was so much fun to photograph. She would just stand right out in the middle of all the craziness and act like it was nothing. She even just hopped right on the counter of one of the games to get a great pic! I have to admit that I was the one who was way more nervous about things. I'm so worried about making someone mad, even if they are only in town for 2 weeks. lol!  We definitely had to be patient during her session. With all the people constantly walking by, the crazies jumping through her portraits and some kids trying to be in the background... one teenager even stopped & wanted to take a pic with her (nervous laugh). But although it was a hard session, we got lots of fun, unique portraits. I'm so glad we went! Thanks Bekah for being such a great sport! Talk about a memorable senior moment!! :)

Savannah

Wow! Savannah is stunning! I found this location a while back and had this idea for over a year. I just really wanted to wait until I found a great girl with a dress that worked well with this setting. Savannah was perfect & her dress was the perfect match!! It just turned out beautiful! I am so glad she agreed to help me out with this idea. We also took advantage of the opportunity and photographed her in her crown, since this is what she wore the night she won. She was crowned Coweta's 2011-2012 Miss Fall Festival. After we did the portraits in her dress we did a few other senior portraits, but still need to photograph a regular senior portrait session. Stay tuned for those... :)

Madison

I had the opportunity to photograph Madison a couple of days ago. I wanted to try out some new ideas and she was all for it. She even brought all the perfect outfits!! After spending some time with Madison, I've decided that she must be part super hero. She recently broke her ankle, which made portraits a little challenging, but she doesn't let anything get in her way! She hops around like a pro... and she is much more graceful than I am! :) She hides injury well!  Beautiful!!

Country Cuties Contest & Fundraiser

In the last year I have really neglected my blog! I'm trying to change that and incorporate it back into my workflow, so please bear with me!! I felt like I should start back with these important portraits. For those of you who may not know, I teamed up with some ladies and hosted a cutest kids contest & fundraiser for the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life. We had most photogenic winners, cutest smiles, best box & top fundraisers. The child who received the most public votes won our contest. The key was that votes were by money, so the child who received the most votes was the child who raised the most money for the American Cancer Society. This was my first attempt at something like this, so I was very rough around the edges. I had no idea of the amount of work involved in these things, but everything worked out and I am so proud of the kids who entered. Together we raised a grand total of $4,757.66 for the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life.

Our Country Cutie grand prize winner was Miss Emily Godley. Emily & her family & friends raised a total of $880.05! What an outstanding effort!!

Jaylynn Peck was our 2nd Place top fundraiser, raising $387.21!
Hailey Hutchins was our 3rd Place top fundraiser, raising $310.98

Kennady Davis was our 4th top fundraiser, raising $212.25

We also had lots of other winners who were chosen from their portraits. Our judges were from out of town and they had such a hard time choosing their favorites. If you would like to see all the winners, you can find them here:

Anthony

Anthony is a senior at Coweta High School. I really enjoyed photographing him and getting to know him and his mom. I was able to photograph him at a location that I had not used much and I really had a great time finding new backgrounds during his session. I even had the opportunity to photograph him with his beautiful dog. It was a great day. Thank you, Anthony, for choosing me to photograph your senior portraits!

Garrett

This is Garrett. He is a senior at Coweta High School. I have had the honor of photographing Garrett's senior portraits as well as his 2 older brothers. I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to get to know this family! They are awesome and I have a really fun memory from each session. This time, during Garrett's session, I was able to photograph his dog and his horses and it was a great experience. We had a great time, but we also have some fun stories to tell! I have to say that I was really glad that Lisa was there to protect my camera/tripod when one of the horses got a little curious. There were some other fun moments during the session, but I will let Lisa and Garrett go into further detail. :) Thank you all for sharing such an important time in your lives. I am thankful that you chose me as your families' photographer!
